Legislation
Any work carried out by Apex Tree Services complies with all the current UK legislation governing arboricultural operations.
This includes:
- Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
- Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations
- Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations
- BS 3998:2010 and 5837:1991
- COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)
The Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 affords protection to nesting birds and roosting bats. All our tree and hedge works are carried out with regard to this legislation.
Planning Authorities require all tree works to be carried out according to best practice, and this is set out in the British Standard 'Recommendations for Tree Work' B.S. 3998:2010.
The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 along with other linked Acts and Regulations impose strict controls on tree works and the people carrying out these works.
Available across Central Scotland, all works carried out by Apex Tree Services naturally conform to all current legislation and regulations including training, inspection of equipment, first aid and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
